2007 part 2

From mars on the spring athletics season starts with meetings and other happenings. Each year in the beginning of mars there is also a big event in the topsporthal in Gent for all youth from the athletic clubs. It's always a very busy day, both for the kids and the coaches, but fun! On the picture you can see the group kids from my club, i'm somewhere in the back.

In mars i'm still busy collecting questionnaires for my dissertation and doing other uni work. Everything else that happend in mars, I simply forgot...

In the beginning of april, easter holiday, skiing-time!!! As usual i go skiing with eastern, but as a ski instructor for a sport organization. This year we went to Obertaurn. I'm not too fond of the Austria ski areas (vive la France! vive la Suisse!) and the organization doesn't work as prfessional as I exspected. With as a result that I got new kids each day, a horrible way to teach and very diffucult for the kids to adapt to the group. So next year i'll pic another organization. I'm the first from left in the photo. The second part of the easter holiday I spend thinking that I should start to write my dissertation and other school work. 15 mai I had to hand in my dissertation, so 1 mai I started to write, my lit review, methodology and results were finished by then, and my discussion and my conclusion and recommandations. 9 mai I finished, two days later I got feedback from my tutor and another 2 days later I handed it in. From over 45 students, only 6 managed to finish their dissertation in time. In mai the weather in Belgium was brilant, almost 30° which is very unusual for the time of the year. But I would be the last one to complain, let the sun shine!

I did my internship for Bloso (something like Sport England) during april and mai and then in june there were the exams again. First awhole series of practical exams (athletics, basketbal, football, swimming....) then the theoretical (physiology, financial management...) and then finally, at the end of june the oral presentation of my dissertation for a jury. Al grades were fine... that meant graduated, finally! By that time I also got a onfirmation from Northumbria that I could study there. Nothing could ruin that summer holiday! But that's for tomorrow.
